Dirt Cheap DIY Chalk Bowl

Cool homegym accesories don’t need to expensive

Short step-by-step guide:

You can buy stainless steel bowls very cheap at many online petshops. Often for less than 5€. They come in many different shapes and sizes.

2. Depending on where you want your chalk bowl, you either buy a set of bolts, nuts and washers in a size that fits the pin holes on your rack OR you buy/fetch a few wooden screws. See this article for ideas on how to mount DIY attachments to your rack.

3. Buy a 1-2m piece of 100mm x 50mm wood. These are usually pretty cheap. The length depends on the complexity of your stand/holder for the chalk bowl.

4. Create a chalk bowl design that fits your need at around 10-15€ (See the video below).

This chalkbowl took me 5 minutes to build. I used parts of an old IKEA bookcase for the wood. So, I only had to buy the bowl. This aesthetics could be improved on, but it was functional.
