I bought on of the first Timebirds Mini Timer Generation 1 during their Kickstarter launch 5 years ago. Back then, I thought it would be fun to try. But back then, I would to buy a full size timer later on. However, since receiving my Gen 1 Timebirds Mini Timer, I have never felt the need to upgrade to a full size timer. Not, until Timebirds released their own full size timer.

Not another white glove timer
A good example of this is their offer to the original Kickstarter backers. They provided us the opportunity to send our Gen 1 to a nearby location. We could get it updated to the latest OS since the Gen 1 can’t be updated via USB-C. And they also gave us a 50$ discount code for buying their new model.
Timebirds don’t just buy their timers from Chinese manufacturers and slap their logo on them. They design, engineer and produce their own Timers in Australia. And making the best timers is all they seem to care about. Actually, to my knowledge they were the first company to release magnetized mini timers. Something that many companies have since try to copy.
Crystal Clear Display and Bluetooth
The best feature about the Timebirds timers is the quality of the display. Even when I use it outside on the most sunny days I can clearly read the numbers from far away. So, you will never have problems reading the display inside your home gym. It works perfectly regardless of the size of your gym. Additionally, the quality of the display is an excellent pairing with the built-in battery and magnetic back spine. You can truly bring it and use it anywhere.
They new version (Gen 3) now has bluetooth connectivity. So you can control it from the Timebirds app with your smartphone. But, you can also use the app setup and control several Timebirds Timers at once. The Gen 2 does not have bluetooth.

Conclusion
When I started my home gym, I was sure that I would need a giant gym timer one day. But Timebirds Timers busted that dream. Their high quality mini timers made a full size timer completely obsolete in my home gym.
The only reason I have not upgraded to the Gen 2 or Gen 3 yet is that the Gen 1 still works perfectly. And the newest Gen 3 is now also packed with even more functionality. Hence, I really recommend getting a Timebirds timer. It will be your last one. And if you decide to buy one for yourself, go with the Gen 3. It only costs 10 euros more than the Gen 2 despite the added Bluetooth connectivity.
